Penrith Town Band is 125 years old this year, and we are teaming up with Penrith Mountain Rescue Team to bring you our charity concert. Please save the date and watch this space for more details.

Every Thursday evening until further notice, members of Penrith Town Band will play Somewhere Over the Rainbow on their doorsteps or in their attics to acknowledge the work of NHS staff, carers and keyworkers during the COVID-19 crisis.

Across the country, gatherings to celebrate the 75th anniversary of VE-day – the end of World War 2 in Europe – have been cancelled. No street parties, parades or pageants.  Undeterred, Penrith Town Band are marking the occasion from their doorsteps. We will put on band uniform and at 2.55pm play The Last Post and Reveille. [...]

Our training/intermediate band are pleased to have been asked to play at the carnival this year. Come and hear us play a range of tunes including Crocodile Rock, Viva La Vida, Abba Medley and many more! Our players range in age from 7 to 70!

Our annual concert in St. Andrews church raising money for ourselves and another charity (charity TBC). This will feature our main band and training/intermediate band.

Each year our Main Band and Training Band hold a joint concert in St. Andrews. Come and hear both bands playing a range of music from their current repertoire plus several pieces that they will join together to perform!

We will be holding a Christmas Concert on Tue 12th December which will feature some of the music we have been working on. Entry is free but there will be collection buckets available with proceeds being split between the church and a charity of their choosing.
